Yeah, it's bad for you but....
As always, Genuine digs deep and asks the important, thought provoking questions...what turns you off versus on? He lists his number one turn off as being smoking and although I too consider it high up there as a yuck factor, I have to confess that there is part of me that finds it, well, sexy.
Snidget had something to say about this a few weeks back:
Now I don't smoke... its one habit I never picked up - Thank God. And my father smokes... has struggled with quitting for years.
I do think it's a bad addiction - however....
There's something incredibly sexy about the way you guys do it. The way you talk with it hanging from your lip... the way you light up the cigarette... the way you hold the smoke in and then blow it out. It's all very James Dean-ish.
Am I the only girl out there that feels this way???
Yes yes... it smells bad... it's bad for you... blah blah. I would, if I got involved with you seriously, encourage you to quit.
But it's still sexy in a bad boy way.
No, Snidget, you aren't alone. I once worked with a guy who on his lunch break would settle down at the bar with his newspaper, a cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Now, I never found this guy particularly attractive, but that all changed the first time I watched him smoke his cigarette. Oh. My. God.
Ladies, I have a couple of theories about how to determine if a man will be a good lover, watch him when he eats and watch him while he smokes. If he takes his time, is oblivious to everything around him, lost in his pleasure, is really, really enjoying it.... Let's just say that Mr Lunch Break knew how to really, really smoke that cigarette and it wasn't too much later, following that initial seduction, that my poor little Betty Boop lunch box sat at home gathering dust as I found myself, uh, ahem, otherwise occupied during that hour.

Oh, I totally know what you mean!! And Sniget hit the nail on the head with the cigarette hanging off his lip thing. I smoke **hanging head in shame** but I cannot, nor would I try to, talk with a cigarette in my mouth. Guys can do it so non-chalantly that it's hot.

There is something incredibly sexy about the scent of a leather jacket,bit of tobacco and nice cologne. Ambrosia.
P.S. I love the smell of tobacco but not crazy about leftover smoke. And a man smoking whether it be a ciggy butt or a ceegar is mmmm mmmm mmmm.

I think watching a guy smoke can be sexy, especially if he can blow smoke rings (a la Mr. Big on Sex & the City), but when I get close enough to smell it, it's a turn-off, because I feel like I'm choking. Weird dichotomy, huh? :)

hey hey!! I just quit smoking like 3 days ago and here are all y'all talkin' about how great it is.. well it may have been part of my freakin' personality, but I was ready to kack up my esophogas, and baby, THAT ain't sexy! hehe...
