Welcome to our Team DeAnne blog!

We’re establishing this site as a central place to keep friends and family updated on DeAnne’s schedule, and to share any requests or thoughts from DeAnne.

My name is Jenny Lauck – I’m DeAnne’s sister.  I’ll be the main author here, although I’m hoping to swing DeAnne over to the dark side of internet use :)

Our mom, Mona Reeder, will be holding down the home-front, and will be helping coordinate volunteers if/when it becomes necessary.

We’re deeply appreciative of all the kind wishes, prayers, suggestions and offers of help that have been given to our family since we found out about DeAnne’s breast cancer diagnosis.  We’re newbies at handling this type of situation, but we are feeling supported and surrounded by love, and we are so grateful.

A couple of requests:

  • DeAnne is doing her best to stay on top of emails and phone calls, however, she cannot devote as much time as she’d like.  If you’d like to send her a love note/book recommendation/other helpful info to teamdeanne at gmail dot com, we’ll make sure to pass it along to her.
  • DeAnne is working with a nutritionist to determine the best, healthful diet for her treatment and recovery period.  While she loves goodies and homemade meals, she’ll be sticking with a very specific list of vegan, macrobiotic foods initially.  As we get closer to her surgery date and any future treatments, we’ll post an update here.
  • When DeAnne is in the hospital or recovering at home, she’ll need to restrict visitors to immediate family only, at least initially.  Please email or call Mona or Jenny to see if DeAnne is up for company before stopping by.
  • DeAnne’s teaching schedule will be affected from time to time, and we’ll post updates here as well.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you’ve got questions, or want to share suggestions!  We love to hear from you!

    DeAnne,

Please know you are in all of our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for making this blog Jenny & Mona. I will check back often for details. I put you on my church prayer roll because I figured the more people that are praying for your speedy recovery the better. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. I would love to help in any way.

    Love always,
    Kelly

David and Janet let me know about your surgery. We are all praying for you here at the Craig-Morse household and are relieved to hear that your surgery appears to have gone well. You have such an amazing spirit and are always so positive, DeAnne. We love you a lot, as so many others do. Let us know if there’s anything we can do.
