Lost!
Yesterday was the big day... after lots of tongue jabs, she finally launched her tooth out of her gums, landing it in some yet to be discovered location. We crawled around on the floor for an hour, and were unable to locate the darn thing. Good thing the tooth fairy accepted a note that explained the situation.

uggggh Maybe the tooth fairy can show up for a note in lieu of a tooth?

Wow, that kid has incredible eyes! I know, I know, we're supposed to be focused on the tooth, but really, I would kill for eyes like that!

Aw! I think it happens to every kid at least once. Skyler's first lost tooth went right down the drain. We couldn't convince Daddy to take apart the trap to find the tooth, so we had to settle on a note too.

Is it wrong that I'm only staring at the glitter sparkles and didn't notice her missing tooth?
OOOOOOOOOOOO shiny thing!

She knocked it out with her tongue? It must have been REALLY loose!
Her green eyes are GORGEOUS!

She's gorgeous! Now she can drink through a straw without opening her mouth!
I'm so glad that she knocked it out on her own, when my daughter Dahlia lost her first tooth it was hanging by a thread for days...we were worried that she was going to swallow it. My husband and I decided to help it along. She screamed bloody murder - we had not even touched her tooth yet. When it finaly came out, she was still screaming and hadn't realized that the tooth had already come out. She also liked to admire herself in the mirror as she was crying.
The next tooth was less stressful. It fell out in the car while she was eating a bagel. We never found it either. It's a good thing the tooth fairy was so understanding!
