Blogsitting at the Circus
Jenny? Hello? When you comin back , girl?
I was asked to hold down the big top until our gal got back from her spontaneous, sure to be blogilicious, trip to Disneyland. My biggest responsibility outside of cleaning up the elephant poop, was to field the comments addressed to the circus. I’m not surprised to find that my dear friend has so many adoring fans…not at all. Made me think about how truly blessed I am to have her in my life.
Here are just a few reasons why I adore Jenny and some things that you may or may not know about her:
She does a completely politically incorrect impression of her MIL that will leave you with your sides splitting , tears running down your face, and gasping for air. OK, it’s a lot more fun than it sounds.
Jenny is good in bed. I know this as I have shared a queen sized hotel mattress with her. Uh, not like *that*, you freaks. I’m happy to report that she does not snore, hog the covers, or drool in her sleep.
She looks equally fabulous in an ensemble complete with tiara and boa as she does decked out in a sling and toting a diaper bag.
Her laugh is contagious.
She always knows just what to say.
She is loving and supportive and never critical or judgmental.
She gives real hugs.
She is the best listener.
She’s raunchy , but always classy.
She never takes herself (or anyone else) too seriously.
She calls it as she sees it.
She makes me laugh when I want to cry.
She has the biggest heart.
She’s a fantastic mama.
She is the life of the party.
She never fails to amaze me with her energy, grace, patience and tenderness towards her children. I would trust her with my chicklets in a heartbeat.
The girl knows how to have fun.
She has great hair. Don’t believe her when she tells you she’s having a bad hair day.
Jenny, thank you for all the times you’ve been there to pick me up when I was sure I couldn’t get up and do it again. For helping to believe in myself when I was so full of doubt. For being Auntie Jenny to my girls. For telling me to call anytime and really meaning it. For letting me crash at the circus on more than one occasion. For helping me sort through the really hard stuff. For teaching me how to laugh at myself. For reminding me of what’s really important. You have always been there when it counted, and there are not enough words or time to tell you how much you are loved and admired.
In short, you are very, very missed.
