So Proud
In one of my patented Lame Mommy moves, I dropped my son off at preschool late (only 5 minutes, but still) and forgot that today was sharing.
When I picked up the boy, and saw all the other kids coming out clutching their items, I withered inside. My kid was beaming from ear to ear, though, so I broached the subject gingerly.
"Hey, we forgot sharing today!"
"It's okay, Mommy. I didn't mind."
"That's good. Did you just listen to the other kids?"
"No, sheesh. I sang a song. A B C D, in fact. Really loudly."
"Did the class like it?"
"Um, yeah. I'm a rock star."
Heh. I'm going to have to ask the teachers about this one. Thank goodness for kids who have learned to improvise, and who seem to share their mother's boundless self-confidence.

Haha, just when I thought Jordan exclaiming to the entire school that she wiped her own butt was funny...

Whew, I was nervous there for a minute too right along with you. Smart boy, just make sure you get him a good record deal.

If I were you I'd find out exactly what words came after A B C D. I know that in MY house, EFG doesn't necessarily follow. Sometimes the song becomes something else completely!

Hey, you've gotta take some credit here ;-) An awesome mom certainly doesn't hurt.

Forgetting a share item for share day is a killer. Every Tuesday is my preschooler's turn and every Thursday is my kindergartener's turn. It's a lot to remember. But my girls have "improvised" too.
