Perspective
I am deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless events in London. It makes any whining or silly kid story I'm inclined to share seem trite.
As for Operation Over-The-Top Cheerful, we're in day three of full swing, and the troops are still resenting my orders to "be happy!" and "be grateful!" but I can see that my one woman show is going to keep them enlisted for a while yet.
Maybe I should get Nick and Jessica to come join in the singing and dancing and smiley-faced butt waving. Yeah...

Um, yeah, I'm with K. I spend so much time trying to avoid them...

I may be the only person in American who has never watched the Jessica and Nick show, or whatever it's called. Although imagine my shock when I came upon my husband watching The Surreal Life on MTV this evening. And apparently enjoying it! (Boy, Bronson Pinchot really let himself go! Er, not that I was watching it or anything...)

Anyone BUT Nick and Jessica. I'd like to think that their disappearance from the pop culture landscape will be a good thing for us. But there's always another no-talent waste of resources waiting in the wings. After all, Mary Hart needs more fawning fodder.
Gaa!
