Did I Claim To Sew? Hahahaha!
No. I do not sew. Not without a pattern, and not without happy pills of some sort.
I do not sew. I do, however, shop! Look at these!
See, I had actually gotten pretty far into making muslin chemises and corduroy bodices, but they were rustic looking. Period appropriate, perhaps.
Anyway, I grew unenthusastic about sending another several hours of my life into the void, attempting to make something that essentially was one step up from a burlap sack.
At the toy store, I saw these. Hey! Done! A little expensive, but they can wear them for Halloween, too. My oldest said, "Mommy, I wanted to be a rock star for Halloween!" "Too bad, you're going as a princess." I'm such a hardass.
Both the older kids want the youngest to wear her dinosaur costume so that they can battle her. I don't think that's a fair fight, but might be a good photo opportunity. We'll see if my artistic sensibilites win out over my common sense.

Love the costumes. That is my kind of sewing. LOL
What does dressing as a rockstar look like? Going out in clothing smaller than most people's underwear ;-)

Dino costume yes! if only for the photos.
love your blog. I have my own three kid circus here. You seem way more fun than I but I would use my children for my own amusement given the chance.

Thank you for making me feel a little less inadequate than I did yesterday.

Oh, man. I would have soooo claimed to have made those costumes. ; ) Your honesty is admirable.

I saw that picture and thought, "Wow, she did a fantastic job on those costumes." Then you had to go and tell me that you bought them. I say go for the Dino costume!

My son loves convincing his sister to put on her dragon costume so that he can dress up like a knight and "slay" her. For some reason, she actually agrees to it.
