Stay Off The Sidewalks
Attention residents of Northern California:
Be warned. Jenny Lauck has just bought herself a new bicycle. It is a large white and pink cruiser with flames and a giant cushy seat. If you see her coming down the sidewalk, please remove yourself from her path. She has not ridden a bike in years and cannot be held responsible for the safety of nearby pedestrians.

Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

It took all my restraint to not get streamers for the handlebars and a little ringie-dingie bell. Hee!

Oh.My.God.
That is the coolest EVAH!
Happy Jenny month to you!
And, go for the streamers. You could even put matching ones on your bra.

How awesome! I got a bile for my bithday the first year we were married. I wish it was as cool as yours. Especially the seat. That looks much more comfy than mine!
Have fun!

That is so awesome.
And why, why would you NOT get the streamers and bell?

Ok, "this site" actually means this site:
www.wombats.org. (Please pardon my icky html skills for now!) Sounds very cool!
Posted by: angie | October 9, 2005 6:19 PM
Damn, girl. You are DA BOMB!
Posted by: Mir | October 9, 2005 6:46 PM
That is quite possibly THE BEST PICTURE EVER!
Also, am jealous of pink bike... Kinda. Because putting me on a bike is like asking to take me to the hospital.
Posted by: Jennifer | October 9, 2005 9:50 PM
You almost make that look fun!

That is one of the coolest damn bikes I've ever damn seen. Damn.
My friend has a chopper with a backwheel wider than some motorcycles, but he can't pedal it at any sort of speed, so your bike takes the "Best bike in the world" prize.
Enjoy!

So pretty!
But that bike is BEGGING for a BASKET! The white plastic-wicker kind with giant plastic daisies on the front!

That is a way cool birthday present.
Kinda glad I don't live in NC and have to walk the sidewalks though. Just kidding, lol.
Enoy it!

OK that is a great bike, would have been better with the streamers and bell though. You should get them since it is still Jenny Month.
But, I got the best birthday present - your bike is only second best!

Ooh! I want a bike just like that!

THAT BIKE ROCKS!!!!!
I laughed out loud at the picture. You look alltogether joyous. That is the sweetest ride I think I have ever seen.

Cool bikes make the best presents. (Mine was a sweet first-year Julius Cruiser a couple of summers ago.)
Hey! We could start a blogging mom bike gang. With jackets and a reputation and everything.
Enjoy!

To the hell with everyone else -- put the streamers on it! and very long ones too.
While you are at it, put some pegs on the back wheels that way a friend can ride along. :-)
Enjoy your bike! It looks perfect.

I just looked at that bike 2 weeks ago in the window of our bike shop!!!
I'm so happy for you!!

I love LOVE the pic - go for the streamers!!!

I say go for the streamers, and the bell, AND the basket with the plastic daisies! Pimp that bike!
Posted by: Elizabeth | October 10, 2005 1:38 PM
Envy! Envy!
Posted by: Christy | October 10, 2005 1:58 PM
Oh dude, best bike EVER. And it totally needs the whole kit--streamers, bell, basket, and cereal box license plate. That gift makes the ipod I got seem so prosaic.

lol- after nearly 15 years without one of my own, I also got a bike for my birthday this year. Funny thing was at 40, it was my very first "new" bike. From ae 4-15, all I ever got was handidown wheels. :) Happy Riding!
Posted by: HElene | October 10, 2005 6:49 PM
THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! You go, girl!!!
Likewise, we bought bikes when we moved out here, and I hadn't been on a bike in over ten years. Maybe 15 years. Not sure. But I'll tell you, it's just like they say. You just don't forget. Now I ride miles and miles on the trail and can even dodge snakes.

What an awesome present! Am very jealous!
And I agree - the one thing that sweet pimpin' ride needs is some streamers.

Streamers, bell, and basket! Now! That's one cool bike, lady.
Posted by: Mary | October 11, 2005 3:01 PM
What restraint to resist the streamers!
'course I'm the one that wants to dress up as a drum majorette and have the hat with enough feathers to make a Las Vegas showgirl weep with envy ;-)

That is a rockin' bike! You have got good taste girl!
