On The Pah-TAY!
News flash - I may be failing at many other areas of parenting, and I may not actually get to take credit for any of this but:
My three year old finally made pee-pee and poop on the potty all by herself, without me begging or reading 700 books and when I offered her M&Ms as a reward, she said "No, Mommy. Those are for you. You're a good mommy."
Let's recap:
Peeps AND Poops.
In the potty.
Without my having to beg, pantomime or otherwise humiliate myself.
Complimented.
Given chocolate as reward.
Yeah, I think that brings my average up a bit. I'm off to make an offering to the parenting gods to keep a comet from hitting my house as I sleep.

Good for you! and your little one, too! What will you do when you have no more diapers to buy? I just wondered because I'm still in the place where I cannot imagine that ever happening to me.
You deserve chocolate and lots of it.

That's a VICTORY! When my oldest wasn't completely potty-trained at almost four, I thought it was because I often told the parents of my 2 year old students that the normal age range for training is from 2-4 years old. That's what I get!
Give yourself a pat on the back! After you're done eating those M&Ms, that is.

Let me bow down with peeps and poops props to you. That is awesome (and I hate that word!) and I don't even know where to start.. so I not only know how hard it is, I appreciate it even more when someone else finds success!
ALRIGHT!!!

Brought tears to my eyes. Only those who have weathered the potty training trail can truly appreciate how truly significant this scenario is. Enjoy!

Sweet!
And we often call them "peeps" too.

Go Peeps, Go Poops! My three-and-a-half year old son (really three-and-seven-months old, yikes) has the peeps down, but asks for a diaper for poops. When challenged he either a) points out the one time he went poop on the potty four months ago or b) complains loudly and insistently that he "isn't big boy enough". Age four is looming, looming I say.

Hurray! Can't wait to get there too. I am having trouble keeping my excitement level so high when I am forced to be bathroom entertainment

Hooray! Way to go, to both of you! May the successes continue this week, and further celebrations be in order.

WOW!! I bow to you! See...my hero!
Bug is still in the "can't be bothered" stage. I am in the "can't wait to get this last kid out of diapers" stage. I *know* you can relate. The problem, I'm pretty sure, is that he can smell my desperation which only fuels his apathy. I must find a way to feign apathy, but I have never had a good poker face.

Do you teach classes? Becuase, DAMN. You are good. I would give you some of my hard-earned money for some of that mommy mojo.

I envy you!
I recently offered my 3.5 year old a dollar to poop in the potty.
His response: "I'll give you two dollars if you leave me alone."
sigh.
