The World Isn't Ready For Me
Guess what I did today? Anyone? Anyone?
I had my first horse riding lesson! SQUEEEEEEEEE!
I planned to take photos of myself and post them for all my Wind Horse Riding Girl homies to marvel at, but let's just say that the world is not yet ready for photos of me in riding tights. Not just yet.
I'm as gushy as a little girl about it. I can't stop smiling. I made the horse (Montego!) go and stop and put the saddle on all by myself like a big girl and didn't fall off and even managed to trot a bunch. I don't remember having to work so hard at it when I was a kid, but hey! I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow, because my butt and inner legs are burning! Yay!
I'm just like Trixie Belden! An aging Trixie Belden. In riding tights instead of dungarees.
Wheeeeee!
Best. Mother's. Day. Present. Ever.

I'm going to hold out for the pictures.
Did you see JD from Scrubs riding bareback last night?

Did you see the suspicious looking stable hand slip a wrapped package behind the hay bales, then just had to go see what was in it, against the advice of you best friend?
And yes, I agree. Best Mother's Day Gift EVER!!!! You go, Queen of the Wind Horse Riding Girls!

Go Trixie go!
That's awesome! I love riding and I miss it so much. The last time I went, I hadn't ridden in years and the next day, every muscle in my back hurt. Every. Single. One. I was expecting the butt and legs but not my back. My unsolicited advice is take some Advil before bed :)

Oh, I'm so jealous! That is one of the things I want to do once the kids are all gone and I have some time (& money) to myself. I used to ride when I was little, but it's been ages. Good for you for doing it!

I forgot about Trixie Belden, my old favorite...thanks for that memory. I lived in SR for a long period and had a pony--no lessons but lots of good memories. Good for you...enjoy it...I'd love to have horses back in my life again. Someone loves you to give you that for MD!
