That is really sad this morning when I read about him passing away. But I guess you can say that he died while doing something he loved. Poor his wife and two kids though.
We watched him religiously when my son was younger.
I've been reading your blog for a while and love it, and just wanted to delurk to say that I agree with you....Steve will be missed a lot, especially in this household :(
I couldn't agree more. Sad. I feel terrible for his wife and children.
Shows that accidents happen even to those who are used to being in danger...reminds me of when Dale Earnhardt died. They both died doing what they loved, but it doesn't make it any less sad.
I didn't believe it at first when I read about it last night. I feel so sorry for his wife and kids. His son won't even remember his father. He put his life in danger so many times. At least he loved what he did.
I KNOW! My children have never watched much of him, but I remember when he was on Lettermann and bringing out various animals (scaring the bejeebus out of Dave) and the last 'animal' he brought out was his baby girl.
Just think of all the 'home video' of Dad they'll have to watch, lol!
I am so upset about the loss of Steve Irwin. I get very upset anytime a parent dies leaving young children behind. But I think the thing that bothers me the most about this is that he was killed by a stingray! He has done so many more dangerous things, and this is how he dies? It does not seem fair! I am not saying I wish the guy was eaten by a crocodile or bitten by a snake, but him dying from a stingray almost seems like an insult! My heart goes out to his wife and children. I can't imagine dealing with this loss!

I was shocked when that came up on my AOL screen this morning. Very sad. It's a freak accident that it got him in the heart. Very, very sad.

Oh my God, I was SO SAD! My oldest used to LOVE the Crocodile Hunter, and walked around imitating his accent all the time. What a tragedy!
