I Can Think! I Can Think!
After keeping my two elementary school monsters home with colds on Friday, and my youngest having the week off from Preschool, I've been dealing with what can only be described as:
TOTAL SONIC OVERLOAD
I seriously couldn't take one more volley of sound from the peanut gallery. My weekend was spent cringing and cowering and then trying to best them with some impressive vocals of my own.
Even now, my youngest is sitting by my side, alternately tapping on a stainless steel bowl with a fork and a pencil. The clicking and ringing is making my facial tic act up again.
But! The 9 o'clock hour nears and preschool is back in session today.
That's right. In 20 short minutes, my brain will not be filled with kid noise. It will be full of creative, NaNoWriMo thoughts. I will be churning out more fodder for the entirely worthless plot I've got going. Wooo!
I've actually got a partial post written for this here blog, but I haven't had the chance to finish my thoughts all weekend, so maybe you'll get that bad boy tomorrow. Or later today, if I'm feeling gutsy.
Monday never sounded so sweet.

All the kids have off from school tomorrow. I'm a little worried about that total sonic overload for myself!

OMG! I completely felt that way yesterday!!!!! I'm OK when it's just the 4 year old but when his sister comes home at 3:15, it's like there are 50 kids in the house. I spent 20 minutes sitting on the front porch steps freezing my patooty just to get out of it for a while.
