You Heard It Here First

While I was cruising the aisles of Trader Joes this afternoon, my four-year-old asked if we could get some Pirate's Booty. I agreed, and plopped a bag into the cart.

She grabbed the bag, and squinted at the print.

"Mommy, how do they make this stuff?"

I did what I always do, and turned her question around. "Oh, well. Hmm. How do YOU think they make it?"

"Welp, I think they grab up a bunch of pirates. And then they cut their booties off. And then they fry 'em up and put 'em in a bag. With delicious salt."

Mmm. Pass me some more of that.

I've wondered the same thing myself! I mean, look at the ingredients' list: where are all those mysterious chemicals they usually put in snacks?

LOL; what the hell is "pirate's booty?"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! With delicious salt, she says. I'm dyin' ovah here.

I'm with Philip - what is pirate's booty? It's something we don't get here in Australia that's for sure!

Mmmm delicious salt...

What a smart cookie!

Yeowch! Those poor pirates!

LOL That sounds painful! Pass the bag!

Poor pirates! No wonder they're a dying breed!

Ask her what she thinks happend to all of their eyes.

Mmmm! I always wondered what that special secret ingredient was in Pirate's Booty!

Every child I know is addicted to the boo-tay. Let's just call it what it is--KID CRACK.

LOL, too funny! I like the delicious salt, too, myself.

Now, THAT's cute. (I don't know what's in that stuff either, but my kid loves it, too.)

HA! With delicious salt, even. Priceless!

Yea, what the heck is it?!

hehe, that's cute. Course I'm wondering now what was in the bag.

the things we miss out on not being able to have dairy! my kids don't have any good stories like that about *veggie* booty. bah, humbug.

on the other hand, after hearing the definition of the word "wuss" my 8 1/2 yr old said, "yeah, that's you, mom!" so I think the smart-aleck in them is just fine.
