Don't Call It A Comeback, I've Been Here For Years

This is what, like, a whole week almost of posting? I'm sort of remembering how to do this whole b to the l to the og.

So, my preschooler, hours before dashing into the street and aging me 75 years in two heartbeats, went to school and came out clutching this charming piece of artwork.

For those of you at home who need some help, I'm the one in the muu-muu with a case of acne. And no hair. Or fingers.

My daughter is the yellow child standing nearby with mouth agape, wearing a loincloth (I hope that's a loincloth.

In the air above us soars the turkey, who is "freaking the heck out" as we prepare to cook it.

You see that Mona Lisa smile on that turkey? What is going on with that? What?

My 6 yr old drew me as a flying bug yesterday -- seriously. I asked her why, and she said "cause sometimes you bug me" and then blissfully added "I love you Mommy" while skipping away. Seriously.

How is it that every teacher in the world has exactly the same handwriting?

You look fabulous in a muu-muu, BTW.

I love the feathered wings holding the picture on the sides!

By the way, how the heck do you buy jeans that fit? snort.

Gotta love the kiddo's perception of our cruel celebration !!!

LOL! I freaking LOVE this post. LUFF it. Oh, dear lord, I was just thinking about these kinds of activities today for some reason, the whole "cooking the turkey" thing we used to ask our preschoolers when I was teaching and realized LB is almost of age to say some good good things.

It will never top this.

I think the turkey is just happy to be living up to it's life's meaning in feeding the greater good (us). Really, it's what it's life's about. (Sorry PETA).

At least it's better than the story my daughter wrote about a salamander and it's salamander mommy today. Let's just say the mommy wasn't very nice.

That's absolutely adorable....and I agree with the last comment. I *know* I've seen that handwriting a hundred times before, lol.

OMG I'm laughing so hard. I hope that's a loin cloth, too, but I couldn't help but notice child (and bird) look vaguely the color of baby poop.

Oh Jenny! The drawing is such a precious one, I love it! I remember those days from my own kids.

Have a wonderful holiday missy!
