Strange Happenings
My oldest's adult teeth are growing in at an alarming rate right now - often squeezing themselves in before the baby teeth have given up the ghost. As a result my daughter has a baby tooth still attached firmly to the gums at one side while the rest of the tooth is riding on the growing-in adult tooth like a hat.
I do not recall this ever happening to me. It is simultaneously gross and fascinating. I'm making an appointment for the dentist RIGHT NOW so that she will a) not cause damage to the new tooth and b) will stop playing with it OMG.
I keep looking up meanings for words or phrases and finding out that while I've pretty much got the gist, sometimes I'm off just slightly, with hilarious results. And then, I find myself using the word at every opportunity, I guess to drill the proper meaning home in my brain? I don't know. Sometimes, you don't need to use fancy words to get your point across, but you just try to convince my mouth of that.
I've been doing Weight Watchers for three weeks now, and I've lost one pound. Probably because I also joined a Facebook group called "Women who eat cake by the row."

Why must kids provide so much endless entertainment for their perpetually harried parents?
I don't recall reading this in the manual.

Riding the growing-in tooth like a hat. That's a visual that made me smile and grimace at the same time.

Wow. That tooth is something else. I don't recall anything that exciting ever happening with my teeth either.
Good luck with the WW journey. I joined last fall and am down below my pre-pregnant weight. Hooray for that -- you just have to find a meeting with a good leader. Did you get the lecture about liquids? My leader said alcohol counts as a liquid, my friend's leader said it doesn't count, and my mom's leader said it counts, "but then, there goes your judgment". Hmmm, really feeling the love from those cronies... :) Anyhow, best of luck. It's a hell of a struggle for all of us!

My brother had 2 baby teeth grow on top of one another, they looked fused together. The poor guy never had an adult tooth come in that spot. Good luck with the Weight Watchers, summer is just around the corner...thank goodness.

My little sister had that happen with several of her teeth. When she went to the dentist, he told her not to worry about them, keep wiggling them, and they'd come out on their own. Well, that worked just fine with most of them, but she still had one that refused to budge, even months later, so they eventually had to go in and pull it out.

The exact same thing happened to my daughter, and actually happened to me when I was a kid. We finally had the dentist pull all the baby teeth out because they wouldn't fall out on their own. Since they were baby teeth, meaning no big, strong roots to cause misery, it was easy going and she recovered quickly.
