Today was the wrong day to accidentally have a cup of real coffee at noon instead of my usual unleaded. Now I'm all jumpy and jittery, and liable to behave irrationally.
Not like that's an uncommon thing on election day, apparently.
My husband and I both voted this morning, and it was pretty mellow. We walked right in, cast our ballots and headed off to work for the day. I'm trying not to spend much energy on thinking about this election, but it does hurt my heart to see how very divided our country truly is this election day. I sincerely hope that we get conclusive results tonight, one way or the other, but everyone seems to already be anticipating legal challenges and shenanigans being called on both sides, with no clear path to a victor for days to come.
We're doing Karate tonight, but we're skipping ballroom dancing, because the kids want to watch the election coverage live (and they have a ton of homework tonight as well.) I'd rather be watching them mangle the cha-cha, but we'll be following along as the returns pour in together.
Where's the Election Drinking Game?
